Fr. Cooper Morelock accepted the call to become the 35th Rector of Holy Comforter in the Fall of 2020. As our lead priest, Fr. Morelock sets the tone and vision for all aspects of our Church’s ministry. A native of Brownwood, Tx, he grew up in the Diocese of Fort Worth. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University where he studied history and philosophy. Fr. Morelock was formed for the priesthood at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin. He is married to Jaci and is the proud father of a two year old daughter.

Fr. Mark Bigley began serving at Church of the Holy Comforter after accepting the invitation from Fr. Morelock in January of 2022. He has served as a parish priest in Texas, Ohio, Wyoming, Colorado and Tennessee. He graduated with a B.A. in Sociology/Social Work and Psychology from Bowling Green State University, a M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary, a M.A. in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Masters in Clinical Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Counseling from Wayne State University. Fr. Bigley became a bivocational priest in 2001, working part time in churches and serving in hospices and mental health services.  Fr. Mark currently works part time as a LCSW at Hillside Counseling in Burleson.

Stacy manages all of the communications and day to day aspects of the Parish. She joined our staff in 2020, bringing with her a strong background in IT and office management.
